The journey of Bestbet Ltd started in 1999… Or at least you could say that. But you’d be wrong. Optibet was once the leading gaming brand in the three Baltic States and beyond. Was a fully licensed gaming operator with certificates from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Sweden and Curacao. But what happen to this once legendary company and brand? We’re not 100% sure. But it’s a beautiful mess.

• 1989 – Baltic Gaming group was founded in Riga, Latvia.
• 2005 – Baltic Gaming group merged with Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG). The new group was listed on the Tallinn Stock Exchange and Optibet was officially founded.
• 2005 – Redbet Holding AB was registered at the Swedish Companies Registration Office.
• 2007 – Optibet was sold to Redbet Holding AB.
• 2011 – Lifland Gaming Group was formed with the intentions of being Nordic Leisure Group (NLAB) holding company for all gaming operations.
• 2012 – Redbet Holding AB changed its corporate name to Nordic Leisure AB
• 2013 – Nordic Leisure sells Redbet (including Hey Poker) to Bonnier Media.
• 2016 – Nordic Leisure AB acquires Best Bet Group.
• 2018 – Nordic Leisure AB was renamed to Enlabs AB
• 2020 – GVC outlines new strategy and changes name to Entain.
• 2021 – Entain acquires Enlabs.
